Joy of Urban Farming

Experience the joy of cultivating a harvest that's good for both body and community through the Joy of Urban Farming, a Quezon City program that transforms idle spaces into vibrant, shared gardens. What began in 2010 as a single plot at Quezon Memorial Circle has since grown into more than a thousand urban farms spread across every barangay in the city, turning vacant lots, schoolyards, and church grounds into sources of fresh, homegrown food. Residents receive free training, seeds, and technical assistance from the city government, learning to grow vegetables even in the tightest urban spaces through container gardening and vertical farming.
